"It’s just a prank, calm down!"

When did harassing women become a prank? You can clearly see that this girl is trying to laugh it off even though she’s uncomfortable with it, and that is not okay. If I’m a feminazi for pointing this out, then so be it, I’m not going to tolerate this shit.

This Sam Pepper controversy is good. It’s good because he’s being called out on this ridiculous and misogynistic behaviour. FUN FACT: If you ever think that you have the right to touch a stranger on ANY part of their body without their consent, you’re wrong. That’s sexual harassment, plain and simple, and it’s completely wrong.

Fuck this guy. This guy is a despicable piece of shit. I hope all of these women press charges against him.

Sam Pepper handcuffs himself to women on the street, refusing to release one woman until she kisses him

jean-luc-gohard:

celebreceipts:

In January, Sam Pepper uploaded a video called “How To Get A Girlfriend Easy” in which he sneaks up behind or beside unsuspecting women on the street and handcuffs them to himself. He then tells them they’re “his girlfriend now.”

When one victim reacts furiously, saying “No! I don’t know you! Take it off!” and demands that he remove the handcuffs, he refuses and replies with “We’re dating now.” She tries again, “Look, I don’t know where you’re from, but we don’t do this in America. Take this off,” while fighting with the cuffs. He refuses again, insisting they’re “going on a date.” She then tells him that she’s married, to which he says “No, you’re married to me now,” and refuses yet again to remove the handcuffs.

At the end of the video, another woman is pleading with him to undo the handcuffs, and he refuses to until she kisses him on the lips. Pepper appears to think the entire scenario is hilarious at best and endearingly misguided at worst, while the women being “pranked” are visibly livid, terrified, and profoundly uncomfortable.

NONE OF THESE THINGS ARE PRANKS.

We need to stop calling assault by white men on men of color and women of all races “pranks,” because it makes them seem lighthearted and fun, not like the violent criminal acts they are.

I just LOVE the animation here. The part with just their hands looks real. And I love the way Gothel’s fingers go from motherly gentle touch to creepy and evil. Beautiful

#I really apprecciate this gif#because when you’re in an abusive relationship often nothing seems wrong until you try to stand up for yourself#that loving pat tranforms into a claw when she defends herself#but really it was a claw all along(via)

Tangled actually did a better job capturing an emotionally abusive relationship than most other things I’ve seen. And I don’t just mean when Gothel kidnapped her and lied to her about who she was. It was everything. She kept Rapunzel with her by cutting people out of her life and destroying her self-esteem. She puts her down and doesn’t allow her to feel confident at all. Recall when Rapunzel states she thinks Flynn likes her, Gothel blows her off with, “But just look at you. You think he’s impressed?” She also constantly makes Rapunzel feel responsible for everything that goes wrong. When they get in the argument in the beginning, Gothel victimizes herself and does her best to make Rapunzel feel guilty for asking her for a simple favor. It’s so textbook. And immediately after anything, she treats Rapunzel by promising her favourite soup and reminding her, “I love you most” to reel her back into that false sense of security.
And back to the animation of how she didn’t notice the maternal and loving hand was actually a malicious claw until she realised she was in an abusive relationship. Basically, Tangled is a really important movie, and the fact Gothel is so familiar to those of us who have experienced abuse is good because children are going to watch this and look for Gothels in their own lives.

Gothel reminds me so much of my friend’s mother. Super emotionally abusive. So much of this is absolutely textbook, like the post above said.

ParaNorman is so important and deserves far more recognition.

I think a lot of Tumblr could learn a thing or two from this movie.

they literally killed her it’s kinda understandable that she’s mad

the point of this fight wasn’t ‘forgive them because hating people for hurting you is bad,’ norman made it very clear the people who killed her fucked up and were stupid people. The point was that Aggie’s hate had transformed her from a little girl into a monster. She needed to forgive them not for their sake, but so that she could move on and be happy again.

"Forgive them not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve piece of mind."

also bc she was hurting people that hadn’t hurt her and that’s what made her a bully

You might have got the impression that there is a little bit more to Aunt Petunia than meets the eye, and you will find out what it is. She is not a squib, although that is a very good guess. Oh, I am giving a lot away here. I am being shockingly indiscreet." - J.K. Rowling.

If the reveal had been that Petunia was a witch ~ Several years after the war, Harry tracks his aunt down to confront her with what he witnessed in the pensieve.
